The Anson B. Nixon Park is located on North Walnut Street, off State Street in the Borough of Kennett Square and Township of Kennett, Kennett Square, Pennsylvania. Comprised of 82 acres, the park has a new entertainment pavilion, permanent restroom facilities; children's playground; 5 pavilions with picnic tables, barbecues and electricity(gatherings); 4 walking trails; 2 sand and 2 grass volleyball courts; 2 tennis courts; 2 bocci ball courts; 18 holes of disc golf; and 2 ponds, stocked for fishing (PA fishing license required for age 14 and over).

The KAU Little League serves boys and girls who live in the Kennett Consolidated and Unionville School Districts. Any child who resides in Kennett Square, Kennett, New Garden, Newlin, Pennsbury, Pocopson, Birmingham, East Marlboro and West Marlboro townships can play in the league. KAU is an official Little League chartered by Williamsport, PA and all games are played under Little League rules.

Kennett Amateur Theatrical Society (KATS) is a local theater company for adult amateur actors, singers, musicians, production team members and writers. It was founded in August 2001 by a group of friends who live in Kennett Square, Pennsylvania. The society was created to stage an annual pantomime in the British style (mid January). We also do improvisational "murder mysteries" (In August), and we solicit and stage plays and other entertainments (in July). There is no fee to join KATS. All our productions are completely original and written by local authors.

The KSCC was originally founded in 1940 as an all-volunteer community orchestra. The Symphony, under the direction of Mary Woodmansee Green, now performs six concerts annually including a free children's concert with instrument petting zoo. Concerts are performed at venues throughout Chester County including Longwood Gardens Open Air Theatre, The Emilie K. Asplundh Concert Hall at West Chester University and the Kennett High School Auditorium. Community outreach programs include an annual instrumental and a vocal performance competition for young artists.  The Kennett Symphony Children's Chorus comprised of nearly 100 student vocalists, ages six through eighteen. Is now in-residence-at West Chester Universityand under the direction of Dr. Kristen A. Albert.
