HISTORIC KENNETT SQUARE invites you to its first annual fundraising dinner on Friday, October 3, in the Ballroom at Longwood Gardens. "He Said Beer She Said Wine" will be a dinner and tasting contest between craft beer and wine presented by Sam Calagione of DogFish Head and wine sommelier Marnie Old from Philadelphia.
Beer and wine go "Head to Head" in this 3-course fine dining taste off, each vying for pairing supremacy while dinner guests decide which best complements each dish, beer or wine. The final decision will be tallied from the anonymously cast ballots.
Tickets are $150 per person, which includes admission to the gardens, a beer tasting cocktail hour and a specialty dinner, followed by dancing to the Sin City Band.
The dinner begins at 7 PM, and will include a silent auction. All proceeds will benefit Historic Kennett Square. Historic Kennett Square is a non-profit organization dedicated to keeping Kennett Square a cultural and economic center.
