Romance seems to thrive in February! Is it the cold weather that encourages us to cuddle in front of the fireplace? Or the long dark nights where you grow to appreciate being together with that someone special? This year, go beyond the standard box of candy and corny greeting card. Make it a special occasion that will not be forgotten.
Where else is there a better place to express your love than in Kennett Square? Search for that just-right memento of affection in one of the stylish boutiques or jewelry stores, taking advantage of some great mid-winter sales. A gift certificate for a manicure or spa treatment is always popular. Then plan a special evening out, sharing a bottle of wine at one of the gourmet restaurants in town. Many venues offer live music throughout the month. Or pick up some take-out and a delectable treat from one of the bakeries or the Farmers Market to enjoy at home.
And while we focus on romance, a reminder to all of the single folks - this is a Leap Year and the old tradition states that women have the pereogative of proposing!
Start the month of February off right with the First Friday Art Stroll! As always, there is a lot of activity going on in town.
See you around the Square!
