Not a "parade" in the traditional sense, the Philly Folk Parade is a showcase of various local artists from the Philadelphia folk scene. This unique concert will feature some of Philadelphias most prolific and talented musicians. Check back soon for details about the Fermentation Happy Hour and Concert at the Kennett Flash. Tickets will be available for purchase online. Event proceeds benefit the Kennett Square Farmers Market.
ABOUT THE FARMERS MARKET
The Farmers Market began in 2000 as a way to support local farmers and bring fresh produce to the Kennett Square community. Like many markets, the
Kennett Market had a humble beginning, with just a few local residents wanting a place to purchase seasonal produce. Since then, the range of options has increased dramatically. In addition to a wide variety of local produce, the market also offers artisan cheeses, yogurt, baked goods, hearty breads, flowers, grass-fed meat and poultry, and herbal products. Although Kennett Square is best known as "The Mushroom Capital of the World", a visit to the Kennett Square Farmers' Market shows that we have much more to offer than our fungi friends.
Here are some reasons why you should come and visit the Kennett Market and support local producers:
- You get exceptional taste and freshness.
- You strengthen your local economy.
- You support endangered family farms.
- You safeguard your family's health.
- You protect the environment.
On average, food travels 2000 miles from farm to table.
Come and taste the difference local makes...
